Big Papi started out in Atlanta with the Braves. He made the 2005, 06, 07, 08, 09 All Star Games, won the Silver Slugger in 2006 & 2007 and was the AL MVP in 2006 & 2007. He was traded to the Mets in 2010 as it was thought his career was entering its twilight years and he was again traded to the Padres in 2011. His career was reborn in PETCO Park as he went back to the All Star game in 2011, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17 and won the Silver Slugger in 2012, 13, 14. His only regret is that he never played in the World Series as his multiple Brave and Padres playoff runs always ended prematurely.

In 8 seasons with the Phillies, he compiled a 143-67 record, including perhaps the most dominant season in 2009 with a 28-4 record with 26 complete games and a 1.71 ERA in the steroid era while primarily using the offensive encouraging computer version of Dynasty. He won 2 NBC NL Cy Youngs, and thanks to his “40” endurance rating, completed 45% of his starts in his Philly career and is the franchise leader with 26 shutouts. When the Phillies made the playoffs, he would be using his 40 endurance to start 3 games of a 7 game series, and be able to go deep into them.
